UCI PRESIDENT SUGGEST FROOME CASE MIGHT TAKE A YEAR

The president of the UCI David Lappartient has suggested that it might take up to a year to resolve the Chris Froome case. He added that the actions of Team Sky were damaging cycling. Lappartient has been very critical of Team Sky’s reaction to the ongoing saga involving Froome testing twice the WADA limit for salbutamol.

In an interview with L’Equipe, Lappartientasked Sky to adopt a similar policy to MPCC and suspend Froome from racing until the issue is resolved. When asked if Team Sky’s actions were damaging the sport, Lappartient said: “What do you think? Of course, yes.”
